OUR MISSIONS
MISSION
Dedicated to support and promote our community and raise
awareness of the rich Congolese cultural in Northern
California while providing community-based services to our
members.

LEADERSHIP VISION
To empower each member to actively participate in shaping
our community’s future by matching the good intentions to
promote and serve the community with the
actions.
"Les Paroles s'envolent, les ACTES restent"

LEADERSHIP FOCUS
Current leadership's focus is to strengthen our efforts,
improve communication and relationship among members by
developing and encouraging a sense of community spirit
through various social activities that bring people together.

OUR GOALS
In pursuit of our mission, INGA Association uses a
comprehensive approach for strengthening the Congolese
community. The primary goals of the INGA Association are:

1) To provide community-based social and moral support to
our association members who are Friends and Congolese
living in northern California.

2) To serve as framework of cultural dialogue, community
resolution, and fraternal support among members of our
community.

3) To exchange information on our country of origin and its
cultural values, traditions, and assets and the cultural of the
United States where we now live.

4) To help our community members in the task of developing
self-confidence of their own potential and capability while
integrating into the American life style.

5) To ensure that the ideal of the unit and the sense of
organization that characterize our community be elevated at
the highest level of the American communities and other
associations of the African communities in California.

LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE
Volunteer members of the board of directors who make the
governance body of INGA Association are responsible for
establishing the association vision, goals and shapping INGA'
short and long-term directions.

In doing so, the leadership role is to exercise the ability of
motivating, influencing, and inspiring others in a shared vision
of community goals without a formal base of authority or
power. It is an individual call or decision to support INGA's
efforts by joining others in the community.

Like everyone in this country,
members of the leadership team
or local regional councils are busy professionals and family
men and women who take on the challenge of these roles and
responsibilities just because they want to make a difference in
their local community.
